Hi Buddies,
Having said that our hectic Yetagun Thinn Gyan Water Festival is continuing, no one is stagnant, every one actively took part the following day, the second day of Traditional water festival.
The weather is favoured to the festival, neither too windy nor heavy rain, just nice weather for every one to be happy and to get every one enjoyed and get wet, the last a few days ago, it was showering small drops of rain. In fact,it was excellent indeed, it is the time usually the rain comes down before or during Thinn Gyan.
The rain is just empowerment of the yellow flowers named Pa Dauk to blossom, it happens normally during water festival. The symbolic of New Year. Unless the rain during this time the flowers will not be blossom, these are hiding in their buds, and soon the buds are fallen down to the ground.
As saying goes, the particular kind of flower blossom once a year, once a month, especially during water festival Thinn Gyan.
If you have time to going around the west part of Shwedagon Pagoda along the U Wisara Avenue, the beauty of big trees and also the elegant scenery of flower blossom at the top of tree, and some flowers are fallen and the smell of that is really refreshing.
Of all Burmese females both young and old is longing for it as the vivid feature of yellow flowers, they just want to wear, at the top of their head. The symbolic feature that they are welcoming the festival, the scent is very delightful.
Besides, today our camp boss prepared the traditional confectionary “Shwe Yin Aye” the most famous typical Burmese traditional things, which is made up of coconut milk and agar-agar, everyone has tasted at this special time, there is another traditional food too, this one does not available at this moment at Yetagun which is “Mont Lone Yee Paw”. The meaning of that confectionary is that it is kind of rice flour make it into small sphere shape embedded with palm sugar in it and these are thrown into boiling water pot when it was done, it become float on the water, and ready for serving, mixed with some tiny coconut slices, many people used to embedded chili in it instead of palm sugar to have fun.
During Thinn Gyan there are various kinds of fun every where, including Yetagun. We also have karaoke every night, and the crew members are never tired of singing Thinn Gyan songs.
And also we have got a lot of friendly games, Pools, Table Tennis, International Chess, Dart throwing, Golf putting and Scrabbles. There will be fantastic prizes for those who won friendly matches.
All of those activities are on going on our Yetagun Platform, having funs and to gain intimacy and cohesiveness among the crew members of different nationalities, which is the distinct feature of diversity among unity.
We, the people form Yetagun Platform can say that we are enjoying our water festival at the middle of Adman Sea, on the platform Heli-deck with all the smiles and happy faces.
