Job Description:
Purpose:Operate, monitor and control plant facilities in his area of responsibility in accordance with supervisory instruction and in conformity to standard operating procedures.
Rotation : 8 weeks on /4 weeks offWork
location : Island
Duration : Long Term
Maximum Age : 45 years
Salary : UAE Dirhams 445/-per day worked ( no pay on off days)

Principal Accountabilities:

• Monitor control panels on site instruments in accordance with standard plant operating procedures and instructions, thus ensuring a continous check on the efficient running on the plant and equipment in his assigned area.
• Operate equipment and facilities in accordance with instructions from his supervisor, take immediate action in case of any abnormal function, disturbance or alarm either by adjusting process parameters in accordance with standard operating procedures or by referring to Senior Operator.
• Shut down the plant partially or totally in a case of emergency , and starts it up again in accordance with instructions from higher authorities.
• Log operating incidents occurring during shift for records and for counterpart on the next shift, and discuss incidents with his supervisor.
• Lead fire fighting operations in his area until taken over by higher authority.
  Conduct small analyses, (such as ph-acidity and hardness of liquids , oil quality and bottom sediment and water) according to standard instructions)
• Conduct other similar or related duties such as carrying out fuel oil make-up and fresh water operations, chemical product injection and keeping work area clean ,tidy and safe.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of secondary technical education ( 12 years ) plus specialised plant operator training equivalent to 6-9 months full time.
• 4 years experience of Process Operator in the oil and petrochemical industry
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
